Build a Stronger Plan for Aging Well—Before a Crisis Forces Decisions

Protect your independence, strengthen your support, and prepare for the future—before a crisis forces decisions.

The Solo & Smart Planning™ Online Course and Workshop

Growing older brings important decisions about health, caregiving, housing, finances, legal matters, social connections, and future support. When you do not have a spouse, partner, adult children, or dependable family nearby, those decisions require an added level of preparation.

The Solo & Smart Longevity Plan Online Workshop and Course gives you a structured way to evaluate your circumstances, recognize potential vulnerabilities, and begin building a practical plan for the future.

You do not need to solve everything at once. You need a clear starting point, the right planning tools, and manageable actions that help you remain in control.

Independence is stronger when it is supported by a plan.

Are You Prepared for the Realities of Growing Older?

You may be managing well today—but have you considered what would happen if your health, mobility, finances, housing, or support needs changed?

You may be wondering:

  • Who could help me during an illness or emergency?
  • Who would advocate for me if I could not speak for myself?
  • Are my legal and financial plans complete and workable?
  • Can I afford the support I may need?
  • How can I strengthen my social connections and support network?
  • Is my current home and location suitable for the years ahead?
  • What steps should I take now to protect my choices later?

The Solo & Smart program helps you move beyond worrying about these questions and begin answering them.

Begin With the Life Plan Assessment

Start with the Life Plan Assessment that identifies:

  • Areas of strength and potential vulnerability
  • Gaps that could affect your future independence
  • Habits, assumptions, and behaviors that may be holding you back
  • Which planning areas need your attention first
  • A personal starting point for your longevity plan

What You Will Learn

The course includes six action-oriented modules designed to help you understand the challenges, evaluate your readiness, and build a more secure plan for aging well.

Module 1: Redefining Independence

You will examine the risks of relying exclusively on yourself and learn why lasting independence requires planning, trusted people, reliable resources, and backup arrangements.

Module 2: Health and Caregiving

Prepare for changes in your health or ability to manage daily responsibilities.

Module 3: Social Connections and Engagement

Assess the quality and reliability of your existing relationships, strengthen meaningful connections, and create opportunities for continued participation and engagement.

Module 4: Building Your Support Network

Identify the personal, professional, and community relationships that could become part of your support system. You will also consider who might fill important roles, where backups are needed, and how to begin conversations before help is required.

Module 5: Legal Readiness

Legal documents are essential—but documents alone do not guarantee that your wishes will be understood or carried out.

Legal readiness means creating a plan that can work when it is needed—not merely placing documents in a binder.

Module 6: Financial Resilience

Examine whether your finances are organized, accessible, and aligned with your future needs. You will also consider the people, protections, and professional resources that may be needed if you can no longer manage everything independently.

The goal is to strengthen your ability to respond to change without unnecessarily losing control or limiting your choices.
