  • The  modules address: Ice Breaker, Understanding the Complexities of Aging Alone, Building a Support Network, Resolving Social Isolation and Loneliness, Financial and Legal Considerations, Health and Caregiving, and Putting It All Together.

The Solo and Smart Longevity Plan Workshop  

  • Start with completing the Life Plan Assessment. The purpose is to uncover your top risk and determine where you are right now as it relates to life and circumstances.
  • 7 lessons filled with exercises and worksheets that tackle and improve the challenges.
  • Lesson 1: Ice Breaker, Introduction to the Barriers of Aging well when Living alone.
  • Lesson 2:: Understand the Complexities of Solo Living and Aging.  You will gain a better understanding of the obstacles that can arise when living alone. 
  • Lesson 3: Build a Support System. Making new connections can be challenging, yet it is a critical factor to maintaining a vibrant and supportive network. Participants learn the steps to create a local support group of peers and friends. 
  • Lesson 4: Avoid Social Isolation through Connections of friends is key to healthy aging, which significantly impacts emotional, physical, and cognitive health, and overall quality of life. 
  • Lesson 5: Financial and Legal matters. Financial stability plays a crucial role in shaping the quality of life during retirement years, influencing everything from housing choices to social engagements and health care. Legal matters address crucial aspects that encompass both medical preferences and personal values—reflecting on preparedness and peace of mind regarding the final wishes. 
  • Lesson 6: Health and Caregiving concerns. Staying healthy is critical when living alone. Planning for future caregiving needs, hiring professional caregivers, or exploring community resources are essential steps if family members aren't around to watch out for you. 
  • Lesson 7: Putting It All Together—Your Plan of Action!
